Introducing Angel and Robert, a dynamic and visionary couple whose journey is as colorful as their diverse creative pursuits. Brought together on set amidst the bustling energy of Los Angeles, California, Angel developed her magical style working in costumes for film and television while Robert honed his artistic talents working as an art director and actor. Their shared love for making things beautiful became the foundation of their partnership, leading them on an adventurous path filled with aesthetic collaborations.
Angel and Robert started a family, navigated careers in the entertainment industry, and jumped into the added challenges of renovating a 1920’s apartment building & then building their own modern home in the Hollywood Hills.
As life unfolded, and their daughters Georgia and Hazel grew, the two were picked up stakes and moved cross-country to the idyllic and nurturing environment of Charleston, SC. Settling into their new home, they embarked on a journey of starting new businesses while parent with purpose.
In Charleston, Angel’s lifelong love of dance and Robert’s passion for health and fitness evolved into thriving dance and fitness businesses. Started in 2008, their two businesses eventually grew into the fitness complex on Daniel Island that continues to serve kids, adults, and seniors today. As Georgia, Hazel and Isabella (Robert’s daughter from his first marriage) blossomed into remarkable young women, the nest emptied, and the couple began to imagine the possibilities of their next chapter.
While on Thanksgiving holiday with friends in Mississippi, Angel and Robert felt themselves falling in love with Church Hill. The picturesque surroundings, the closeness of nature, and the charm of close-knit community stirred their spirits, igniting a flame of inspiration. The idea of undertaking a new project, one that would blend their creative talents in a place where they would be surrounded by both nature and friends every day, lead them to take another leap, and Field and Forest was born.
